Our lake house smells musty when we open it up. Is that the furniture or the house?
Usually both, and the furniture is the part that can be fixed in a morning. Fabric holds soil and oils that go stale in a closed warm room. Once those are extracted the fabric stops contributing. If the smell persists afterward it is coming from the structure and that is a different trade.
Do you come out to houses off FM 306, or is that too far?
